Introspective Fall thoughts…

Why can’t people be more like sunflowers?

Heliotropic: Follows the sun. They face the sun & follow it from the east…If positivity were a metaphor for the sun, would heliotropic people be considered more optimistic? Or inspire others to be more so?

Hyper accumulative: Pulls from the soil. They absorb anything that can have a negativity reaction from the soil, so other plants can flourish…To me this is the equivalent of being a voice of inspiration & encouragement for others. This way we can all be the best versions of ourselves, instead of being that poisonous voice of discouragement. What would a million acts of kindness do in one year from one person? Is that something we can aspire to actually achieve as a resolution as we feel these times getting harder?

Polymorphic: Multiple Purposes. They have more than one use or value. They can be used as food, medicine, absorbent in the soil…I feel like everyone has the ability to have more than one thing they excel at or enjoy in life. There are too many talents to box us & compartmentalize our personalities; all of us are meant to be unique & multifaceted. I feel like the world would be a better place if we stopped boxing ourselves & everyone else in. We’re so quick to make judgements on “who” others are & never curious enough to try & discover who they are entirely. Sometimes we hyper focus on that one part of ourselves or our lives that we forget to bring or call attention to the other parts of ourselves that we genuinely enjoy, is that too hard for someone to practice in their life?

My thoughts are if we have the ability to accept people for who they are…stay curious in all the things that make them who they are & aspire/inspire them with positivity, why not? It costs us nothing to be kind, understanding & to just listen fully.

My thoughts are in bold/italic. The main questions for my creative/free thinking friends are in bold. Be bold, be brave, know this is a safe space…let me know your thoughts.
